Irish Coffee
Smooth illy espresso and Irish whiskey topped with frothy cream, creating a cozy celebration in every sip!
illy Irish Coffee is a delightful blend of rich illy espresso and smooth Irish whiskey, sweetened with sugar and topped with a luxurious float of heavy cream, finished with a dusting of cocoa powder and garnished with coffee beans for a perfect after-dinner treat.
Ingredients:
- 45ml Irish whiskey
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 1 double shot of illy espresso
- Cocoa powder (for dusting)
- 2 coffee beans (for garnish)
- 36% heavy cream (for floating)
Preparation:
- Measure 45ml of Irish whiskey into a small steaming pitcher and add 2 teaspoons of granulated sugar.
- Warm the mixture using the steam wand of your espresso machine or on low heat in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves.
- Brew a double shot of illy espresso and pour it into an illy marocchino glass.
- Add the warm whiskey mixture to the espresso and gently stir to combine.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with 2 coffee beans.
- Slowly pour the heavy cream over the back of a spoon onto the surface of the coffee, allowing it to float.
- Serve and enjoy!
