illy Dirty Chai Martini

illy espresso and chai tea meet creamy milk, vodka, and a hint of maple syrup in this aromatic cocktail, accented by pink Himalayan salt. A star anise garnish adds the perfect finishing touch, making it a drink that’s both rich and sophisticated.

Ingredients (Serves 4):

  • 1 cup filtered water
  • 4 bags of chai tea
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
  • 2 oz illy espresso
  • 1 cup plant-based milk
  • 4 oz vodka
  • Star anise (for garnish)
  • Handful of ice

Preparation:

  1. Heat 1 cup of filtered water until almost boiling and steep the 4 bags of chai tea for 4 minutes.
  2. Remove the tea bags and add 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and 1/8 teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt; stir to combine and set aside to cool.
  3. While the chai is cooling, prepare 2 oz of illy espresso and let it cool.
  4. In a cocktail shaker, combine the cooled chai, espresso, 1 cup of plant-based milk, 4 oz of vodka, and a handful of ice.
  5. Shake well and strain the mixture into 4 martini or coupe glasses.
  6. Garnish each cocktail with a star anise and enjoy!
